Bandung Geopolitics Studies
Bandung Geopolitics Studies is an association of international relations researchers from both academic and professional backgrounds. The organization focuses on analyzing contemporary global issues through the lens of historical principles that have shaped Indonesia’s foreign policy identity on the international stage.
The association was officially established at Gedung Merdeka on June 21, 2024, in Bandung, a city that once drew global attention as the host of the 1955 Asia–Africa Conference, which played a pivotal role in inspiring the global decolonization movement and promoting the spirit of international peace.
Bandung Geopolitics Studies is committed to fostering public engagement and believes that rapid geopolitical shifts, driven by technological disruption, transformations in the global economy, and the evolving uni-multipolar international system, require Indonesia to possess the strategic insight and agility needed to navigate these emerging challenges.
